Contribution to Le colette (issue 5), the magazine of the landmark French boutique. Done in collaboration with Payam Sharifi and Jim Birmant. Paris, France. Summer 2004. Description: The map is an imagined scenario of the European Union in 2040, exposing the fear-mongering pervasive in the run-up to EU expansion on the 1st of May. And in order to counter such small-minded thinking, this map with tongue only partly in cheek, thinks big, showing that we are no more fans of the uninspired, technocratic EU than we are of the EU-phobic public. |
